Ever since the Internet became a
popular medium for mass communication, software vendors have had to
face the problem of piracy on many fronts.
Microsoft has probably suffered
the most in this respect, you only have to look in the more "shady"
newsgroups and P2P arenas to know what I am talking about...
Many claim to be able to give/sell
you a Windows XP Keygen, but what exactly is one?
What Is A
Windows XP Keygen?
The idea is that you can use a
simple program (called a windows xp keygen) to generate a valid 25
sting key that can be entered into the Windows Product Activation
utility that is active for 60 days on a new installation.
Is Using A
Windows XP Keygen Safe?
You often see Windows XP Keygen
software advertised on websites BUT here is my warning:
1) Microsoft has a database
of BILLIONS of valid keys that the Windows Product Activation
utility connects too. THEY KNOW if YOUR key is not
legitimate!
2) MANY of these websites
that claim to have a genuine Windows XP Keygen actually are nothing
more than spy ware sites that will infect your system!!!
3) There is even a virus
that spreads with an attachment called keygen.exe Once opened and
YOUR system is infected!
Basically AVOID such a fruitless
task and get a valid license...
