Windows XP allows you, the user, various options for
viewing the files in any folder.
It is almost as if Windows XP is
trying to be all things to all people.
There are times when I would
like a list of files and other times just a small thumbnail is
required...
|
To achieve the look you want you can use the "Views"
Icon on the main folder toolbar. When it is clicked you are given a
list of 5 options as in the following screenshot:

The "Views" Icon
The following screenshot shows my files being
displayed using the "Tiles" option:

The "Tiles" Option
By experimenting with the 5 different display options
available, you will become familiar with which option you require for
the task you are working on at any given time.
The other way to access to access the 5 options is
from the Menu Toolbar as in the screenshot below:

The Menu Toolbar
A really nice aspect of folders under Windows XP is
that the operating system will actually remember the option you last
choose for that particular folder. So every folder can be set to view
all your files the way you need to.
