Is It Safe?

YES.

One of the features I like about this easy to use and well laid out applications is the Backup and Restore feature.

As you can see in the picture you have the ability to make a backup of the Windows XP registry BEFORE you apply ANY tweaks to your computer. If you do want to restore the registry then Magic Tweak has a simple to use RESTORE function too.

My only recommendation would be to perform an XP System Restore point before you install this software, so if you run into any problems (unlikely) you can always put Windows XP back to how it was... Having said that about this software, creating System Restore points is something YOU should be doing BEFORE you install ANY software!

Conclusion:

There are many applications that offer to tweak your installation of Windows XP. This one just happens to be one of the best in my opinion.

It was stable on testing and performed all the tweaks it said it would. With the ability to undo a registry tweak and even backup/restore the registry, and other important files - Magic Tweak is an application I am happy to recommend to all new users and beyond!

Could it be improved? At a price, yes it could... Add in just some of the functionality of Cool Info XP (the number one system information, inventory, audit & diagnostic utility) http://www.updatexp.com/Cool-Info-XP , and you would have a totally unique application on your hands!

But as it stands Magic Tweak does an excellent job AND is great value for money at only $29.95 :-)
