1) INTERNET EXPLORER 7 RELEASE DATE SET?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rumour has it that Microsoft will have the final version of Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP available by the 18th October and for general release by Windows Update on the 1st
November 2006...

Remember that Microsoft will be distributing this update AUTOMATICALLY to all Windows XP users via Windows Update website and the Automatic Update service in Windows XP.

You will need to approve a EULA (End User Lic Agreement) before it installs/deploys... so it won't automatically just appear on your desktop!

---------------------------------------------

2) KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS.

---------------------------------------------

I have uploaded 2 articles on keyboard shortcuts for:

Internet Explorer

http://www.updatexp.com/internet-explorer-keyboard-shortcuts.html

Microsoft PowerPoint

http://www.updatexp.com/powerpoint-shortcuts.html

...each of the articles does have the shortcuts compiled in a PDF file that can be downloaded for you to keep!

-----------------------------------------------

3) I NEED A NAME!

-----------------------------------------------

Past and present Microsoft MVP's have their blogs over at http://msmvps.com

I have decided to join them with a blog dedicated to the topic of Windows Vista Digital Media...

BUT the blog could really do with a name! Any ideas?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

5) XP SP1 & 1A NO LONGER SUPPORTED.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

From TODAY, October 10th 2006, Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows XP Service Pack 1 and 1a

You are strongly advised to upgrade to the free Windows XP Service Pack 2 which has far better security features...
