=======================================

1) MICROSOFT & THE INTERNET IPOD MOVIE.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"What if Microsoft designed the iPod box?"

Created as a Microsoft internal marketing movie only, but it
ended up on the internet...

It was quickly taken down from several websites but I have
it available on my website for your amusement!

Watch the video here (may take a few moments to load):

-----------------------------------------------------------

2) A NEW STYLE OF PAY PAL SCAM.

-----------------------------------------------------------

You may be used to having PayPal "account verification"
emails arriving in your inbox - but this new one took me
by surprise for a moment or two...

Read about it here:

http://www.updatexp.com/pay-pal-scam.html

-----------------------------------------------------------

3) GMAIL MANAGER FOR FIREFOX.

-----------------------------------------------------------

This is a Firefox extension that allows you to manage
Gmail accounts and receive new mail notifications.

Displays account details including unread messages,
saved drafts, spam messages, labels with new mail,
space used, and new mail snippets.

Read about it here:

http://www.updatexp.com/gmail-manager-for-firefox.html

-----------------------------------------------------------

4) HOW TO BACKUP MICROSOFT OUTLOOK.

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you are using Microsoft Outlook and not making
regular backups it is only a mater of time before trouble strikes.

Find out more here about backups:

http://www.updatexp.com/microsoft-outlook-backup.html

- I even mention my favorite hard drive backup software!

-----------------------------------------------------------

5) WHAT IS A ROOT KIT?

-----------------------------------------------------------

When Sony started shipping this "hidden" software
on their music CDs the public relations disaster that
followed soon brought the world's attention to "Root Kits"...

I hope this short newsletter was of some interest!

...just before I go I came across this handy utility as I
thought there had to be an easier way than using a
command line and registry edit to remove Windows
XP Messenger (NOT MSN Messenger) - and there is:

Until NEXT TIME....
