Microsoft Security Bulletin
KB929969 - CRITICAL
UPDATE
Add To Del.icio.us Digg It!
Microsoft has issued warnings about a serious
flaw in Windows that allows attackers to hijack a PC via
the popular browser. This is a known Vulnerability in Vector Markup Language (VML).
Read this article for more information on this
security update.
What Is KB929969 All
About..?
This update resolves several newly discovered, privately reported
vulnerabilities.
When using vulnerable versions of Windows, if a user is logged on with administrative user rights, an
attacker who successfully exploited these vulnerabilities could take
complete control of the system. An attacker could then install
programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with
full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer
user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who
operate with administrative user rights.
Microsoft recommend that customers apply the
update immediately.
