Hi,
If you were one of the many who
emailed me in
response to my last email then THANK YOU!
Sarah and I were really touched...
I am now back at my desk and writing articles
for the July newsletter, but had a couple of
bits of news that you might appreciate receiving
now.
-------------------------------------------------
#1 - Learning RSS By Video and Course Handouts.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is now becoming
a mainstream tool for millions of Internet users.
Only last weekend Microsoft announced that in the
next version of their Windows Desktop software
(Longhorn) they will be adding support for RSS.
Many major companies online now offer an RSS feed
for customers to use, something that was unheard
of 6 months ago.
If RSS is still an unknown for YOU then try out
my easy to use course at:
http://www.rss-lessons.com
I have now made ALL the videos and PDF handouts
available via a link on the homepage (before today
you had to sign up by email to access the course!)
I am not sure how much longer I can keep this
course available as I do NOT make any charge for it
BUT still have to pay for all the "bandwidth" folks
use in watching the instructional videos!
So GRAB is while you CAN... and learn all about
what some IT consultants say will replace email...
---------------------------------------------------
#2 - Time Limited 40% Discount For Site Visitors.
The folks at Uniblue software have contacted me with
a very attractive offer for newsletter subscribers
and website visitors to
www.updatexp.com
I have already written about the powerful software,
WinTasks Professional 5, in an article on the website.
You can read it here:
http://www.updatexp.com/wintasks-5-professional.html
(There is even a link so a 15 day trial edition of
the software available too.)
BUT for a limited time only UniBlue are offering
YOU a 40% discount on their flagship product.
The special links are up at:
http://www.updatexp.com/wintasks-professional-discount.html
Take advantage of this offer while it lasts :-)
---------------------------------------------------
#3 - Longhorn Here We Come...
Last night I received an invite from the Windows Client
Group responsible for Longhorn - the next generation
software from Microsoft.
They are going to fly me over, from the UK, to
Microsoft HQ in Seattle where I will spend 3 days
interacting with the various developers and program
managers responsible for Longhorn!
...as soon as I am allowed to publicly talk about
the new operating system that will replace Windows XP,
I shall be "spilling the beans" on a new website so
stay tuned...
I know there are already a few websites that "write"
about Longhorn, BUT I can assure you that they are way
out of date in terms of how the software has
developed :-)
Stay subscribed to this newsletter are receive updates
before your friends!
---------------------------------------------------
That's all for now, as I am taking my wife for a short
break away in the sun...
So see you in a couple of weeks for the *bumper*
July 2005 newsletter.
...and don't forget to tell your friends about us!
Kind Regards
