...Quick Introduction
-----------------------------
I am currently putting together the January 2005 newsletter.
However, a few pieces of important news came out in the
last few days from Microsoft, that I thought you would
want to know about them - NOW!
Essentially Microsoft have released TWO new pieces of
important security related software... ALL users of
Windows XP should be aware of them so hence this *special*
newsletter, in advance of the normal January 2005 edition.
-----------------------------------------------------
1. Microsoft Release New AntiSpyware Software!
-----------------------------------------------------
Still in BETA, this is one of the new tools Microsoft is
making available in the fight against Spyware.
I have been putting this software through some testing
and have to report that I am really impressed with
what I have seen!
For more information, including some screenshots of the
product, visit:

2. Microsoft Release New Software Removal Tool!
---------------------------------------------------
Another new release this month is the much anticipated - Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool...
This monthly updated tool is available via Windows Update,
Windows Downloads or as an Online tool.
For more information, including some screenshots of the
product, visit:

---------------------------------------------------
3. RSS Feed Creation Software...
---------------------------------------------------
I have had a "flurry" of email asking what software can
be used to create/maintain an actual RSS feed.
It seems many of you, reading this newsletter, have your own
websites and are keen to start using this form of
communication!
The following link will let you download a fully functional TRIAL of the software that I use:
http://www.updatexp.com/NewzAlert
(It's called NewzAlert Composer and I maintain this link so
it always points to a copy of the latest download.)
For those of you still in the dark about RSS there will
be a tutorial in the January 2005 newsletter!
---------------------------------------------------
4. Renewed By Microsoft for 2005!
---------------------------------------------------
That time of year has arrived again for me...
Yep, my Microsoft MVP award was up for "renewal" by the
folks at Microsoft Windows Digital Media!
The good news? Well I seem to have demonstrated enough
"technical expertise" and "offered enough help" to the
Online community, so as to be re-awarded an MVP in Windows
Digital Media...
I think there are only around 50 Windows Digital Media
MVP's dotted around the globe, so it is quite an honor
to get it :-)
Not sure what a Microsoft MVP is?

----------------------------------------------------
Well I thought I'd heard it all, but I just learned
that tomorrow, January 14, is National
Dress-Up-Your-Pet Day. (USA)
Crazy world, eh?
Well, I hope you found this *special* newsletter
useful?
Until next time!
Don't forget to tell your friends about us!
Kind Regards
Marc Liron
