Issue: Seasons Greetings
Dear Friend,
...well let me take this moment to wish
you a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!
I apologize for not sending out a newsletter in the last
couple of months but so many things going on at once meant
there was no time :-)
HOWEVER, some good news is that my wife Sarah is giving up her
full time job managing a local Medical Centre and will be
coming onboard to help me expand my online business!
..and this is just great timing as Microsoft are going to have
a VERY busy year in 2006 with some major product launches...
Here is a growing list of the new releases coming
in 2006 from Microsoft:
WINDOWS VISTA OPERATING SYSTEM (REPLACES WINDOWS XP)
INTERNET EXPLORER 7
MICROSOFT OFFICE 12 (REPLACES OFFICE 2003)
ONENOTE 12
NEW HOTMAIL
NEW WINDOWS MOVIEMAKER
NEW WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER
MICROSOFT LIVE - A MAJOR BUSINESS MODEL.
WINDOWS MAIL (TO REPLACE OUTLOOK EXPRESS)
MICROSOFT MAX (PHOTO SHARING SOFTWARE)
SMALL BUSINESS ACCOUNTING 2006
EXPRESSION ACRYLIC GRAPHIC DESIGNER
EXPRESSION QUARTZ WEB DESIGNER
EXPRESSION SPARKLE INTERACTIVE (FLASH ON STEROIDS!)
...and I shall be creating at least 3 new websites to
show you all about the new products and services!
By subscribing to this newsletter *YOU* will be amongst
the first to hear about all the new great stuff when it
becomes available :-)
As for Sarah helping me out her background is in Physics
and Math's so expect to see some great articles on
Microsoft Excel and how to use formulas and functions!
The CD's I created at
www.paywhatyoucanafford.com have
all shipped and the feedback has been amazing - thank you.
I have received MANY emails from folks asking if they are
able to sell the CD's....
Now this raised an interesting point, and after giving
it some serious thought - and consulting some legal advice,
I have decided to look at creating a series of Windows XP
and Internet Training videos that can be licensed as "Resale"
products.
The idea is that once you purchase the videos YOU have
the right to:
- Sell them online as downloads for what you like and keep ALL
the money.
- Sell them online as physical CDs
- Add them to a membership website.
- Give away to customers as gifts.
- Sell them as a money raising initiative for clubs/charities.
- Repackage the videos with other products.
- Rebrand the videos.
- Sell on Ebay.
- Virtually anything you want.
...basically once purchased YOU do what you want with them AND
keep all the money you raise :-)
Still working on the fine details BUT please let me know if
this is something you are interested in knowing more about.
Well that's it for now.
See you in Mid January 2006 for the next newsletter. I shall
be fresh back from CES 2006 (The worlds largest computer show.)
Basically 130,000 geeks are going to be in Las Vegas for 5 days.
Should be fun! Microsoft are flying me out from the UK to get
involved in some of the things they are doing at the show... In
addition I will be wandering around doing some video interviews
and attending some private technology previews - so I should
have LOTS to share with you when I get back.
Kind Regards
Marc Liron
